LASG SEEKS COLLABORATION WITH INSTITUTE OF SURVEYORS  

Lagos State Government has called for collaboration with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors London (Nigeria Group) in line with the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration’s commitment to making Lagos better for all residents in the State. 

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Esv. (Mrs.) Olayinka Patunola-Ajayi, Mni, made the call when she received the executive members of the Institution led by the Vice Chairman, Esv. Tayo Odunsi in her office on Tuesday.  

According to her, the Institution is full of core professionals in the environmental field like Estate Surveyors, Land Surveyors, Engineers and Architects who are relevant to infrastructural development in the State.  

While urging the body not to hesitate to bring forth ideas and innovations that can enhance the T.H.E.M.E.S Development Agenda of the State Government, Patunola-Ajayi revealed that the Ministry has continued to give the provision of waterfront infrastructure a priority with the construction of more jetties and channelisation of water routes to boost water transportation system in Lagos. 

She reiterated that, despite the numerous giant strides of the Sanwo-Olu Administration across all sectors, the State Government is not resting on its oars and still working assiduously for the growth of the State.  

According to her, the long-term target of the present administration is to situate Lagos in the company of global cities with 21st-century attributes.  

Earlier in his address, the Vice-Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors of London (Nigeria Group), Esv. Tayo Odunsi said, apart from coming to felicitate her on the new appointment, the Institute is ready to render all necessary support towards ensuring that all set goals and objectives of the Ministry are achieved.
