NEWLY APPOINTED PERMANENT SECRETARY ASSUMES DUTIES, VISITS ONGOING PROJECTS AT MILE 2 JETTY

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary for Waterfront Infrastructure Development Esv. (Mrs) Olayinka Patunola-Ajayi (MNI), has officially assumed duties on Wednesday with a working visit to the site of the ongoing Mile 2 Jetty project.

Speaking during the inspection exercise, Patunola-Ajayi noted that the Jetty is key to the intermodal transport system of the State Government in view of its proximity to the LAMATA Train and Bus Terminals.

The Permanent Secretary, who was accompanied and extensively briefed by her predecessor, Engr. Oluwole Sotire, expressed her readiness to ensure the speedy completion of the ongoing world-class Jetty project.

She later held onsite discussions with key stakeholders in the water transportation sector including the General Manager of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Mr. Emmanuel Oluwadamilola; Representatives of Lagos State Ferry Services (LAGFERRY); Engr. Osa Koyeha, Director of Operations, Lagos State Metropolitan Transport Authority (LAMATA) and key officers of the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development among others.
